Jen Crownover attending Citizen Fire Academy for ESD #2 & 3 in Spring of 2012.About me...

My name is Jen Crownover. I grew up on a farm in South Texas where we raised corn, maize, wheat and cotton. I attended Texas Lutheran University, and have a B.A. in Business Communications & Marketing. I met my husband while working on the Guadalupe River and after he completed his education, we settled here to raise our boys.

In addition to running my own local small business, hard work and serving the community has always been a part of my family's daily life. All 4 of us are very involved, from sports to Scouting and service organizations that help our community. We also attend Oakwood Baptist Church.

The decision to run for Comal County Commissioner of Precinct 4 has been a long time coming, as I have spent the past two years learning what this position entails, attending meetings and classes, and getting to know our current public servants. It is not a decision I made lightly, but rather one I have researched and considered for many years. With the approaching retirement of our current County Commissioner, Jan Kennady, I felt the time was right to make the shift from community volunteer to county leadership.

Serving our community has always been a priority for me and my family. Since moving back in 2006, I have relished the opportunity to serve with many volunteer organizations including Canyon Lake Youth Football, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Comal County Parks Development Committee, the Joint Sports Fundraising Coalition, CRRC Community Pavilion Committee, the Jen working a Cub Scouting event.Groundwater Conservation District Stakeholders Group, and other community initiatives. It was through these endeavors that I had the opportunity to meet with many of our public leaders and learn the inner-workings of our county government. As my interest grew, so did my passion and I found myself becoming more involved with the many organizations that serve our community and our county, including Citizen Fire Academy, Citizen Sheriff Academy, and the local Republican Women groups, including Canyon Lake, New Braunfels and Bulverde Area.

The issues that affect all of you are also important to me. As your elected official, I will make it my top priority to serve this county with emphasis on:
